MICROSOFT SQL SERVER

-> Microsoft SQL SERVER is a relational database management system (RDBMS) used to store large amount of data.

-> Its is also called as "SEQUEL SERVER".

-> SQL SERVER is a platform dependent,  because it works only in windows operating systems like Windows XP, Windows Vista,

Windows7,Windows server 2003 and windows 2008 server ..

->It is very user friendly, it contains wizards and provides GUI for creating tables, and it has cursor support.

->It is used to store and retrieve data as requested by other software applications which are running on the same system or in other systems in a small or big  networks.

-> SQL SERVER supports only .net languages and provides better security.

-> Versions of SQL SERVER

-> Sql Server 7.0

->Sql Server 2000 (8.0 )

-> Sql Server 2005 (9.0)

-> Sql Server 2008 (10.0)
